Dynamics User Group (DUG), the organization facilitating education and connection across the global Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform user community, announced the joint promotions of women industry veterans Molly Fuchsel and Liz Hallen to president and vice president, respectively.

With DUG’s announcement, the pair join the small collective of women in leadership roles within the technology industry – less than a quarter of the total in Fortune 500 companies. Fuchsel and Hallen’s appointments come at a time of rapid growth for DUG, the user group has doubled its community contacts from just one year ago.

In her new role as president, Fuchsel will shape DUG’s strategic development of learning and collaboration opportunities, both online and in-person, alongside participating users, implementers, and resellers. She will also spearhead communication about fresh and expanding DUG initiatives in collaboration with Hallen, including “Team-Up,” a partner sponsorship program supporting community development, new in 2022.

“My responsibilities as president will continue to be defined by what the community needs are — understanding how DUG can better serve Microsoft end-users and partner professionals and spreading awareness about what we’re doing on behalf of our members as the product space continues to evolve,” Fuchsel said. “I am beyond excited to be a part of this work with Liz while disrupting expectations around what technology leadership looks like at the same time!”

Before assuming their new roles, Fuchsel and Hallen served together as user group directors, coordinating the various DUG programs including DynamicsCon, the multichannel, professional development conference series.

“Combined, Molly and I have almost 30 years of dedicated love for the Microsoft Dynamics and Power Platform community,” Hallen said. “As vice president, I couldn’t be happier working alongside her as we leverage our collaborative decision-making to support our membership in the ways they most need.”

The next event for DUG’s member community will be DynamicsCon March 15 through 17, a virtual conference dedicated to Microsoft professionals. A second in-person conference, DynamicsCon LIVE, will be held in September, per CDC guidelines.

The upcoming DynamicsCon event is accepting session submissions through January 7, 2022.
