Using Synoptic Panel to Create Reactive & Customizable Maps

Session Description

Synoptic Panel & Designer is a free tool created by OkViz that allows you to create custom maps in Power BI that react to your data. Maps do not have to be geographic in nature, rather maps are constructed of areas, that are relative to your data. Throughout this tutorial, I will explore how you can import this visual from the web or directly in Power BI, how you can bind your data to create a custom map using Synoptic Designer, and how to further customize your map by using formatting tools. Throughout this presentation, I hope to express the intuitive nature of this custom visual.
